Tucked away in the quiet village of La Gaulette, Gregory’s Secret Restaurant feels like a cosy garden escape, run by the friendly and passionate Gregory himself. The setting is peaceful and simple, with rustic charm and a natural, open-air vibe that invites you to relax. The menu focuses on fresh, flavourful seafood—prawns, octopus salad, whole snapper, and hearty seafood platters, all cooked to order with generous portions. Each dish is prepared with care, and the flavours reflect local ingredients and homestyle cooking. Gregory often greets guests personally, adding a warm, personal touch to the experience. Though the menu may be handwritten and informal, the food, service, and relaxed atmosphere make this hidden gem a favourite in the south.

I had the grilled gambas and they were very fresh and flavorful. The dish came with rice and steamed vegetables, which paired nicely. I also tried the crème brûlée for dessert, it was delicious also. Highly recommend!

We started with the seafood platter (absolutely loaded and so fresh), followed by a crème brûlée and ananas flambée 🔥🍍 The service was warm and attentive and the music added the perfect touch to the whole vibe. 10/10 night — would go back in a heartbeat!

Awesome place to have food. Music and service is excellent. You will live it here. Mauritius is usually closed early post lunch. We found this secret restaurant serving dood and drinks late in the afternoon around 5 pm as aell. A must go if you are hungry and all other places are shut.
